Speak to Engage (speaktoengage.org)

October 01, 2024

Speak to Engage (speaktoengage.org) offers free, open access resources for instructors across disciplines for integrating speaking skill-building into higher education courses. Using a rhetoric across the curriculum/speaking in the disciplines model, Speak to Engage takes an ecumenical approach to speaking skills, supporting instructors across campus in teaching debate, discussion, deliberation, presentational speaking, listening, and much more. As core skills crucial for professional, academic, and personal success, communication skills warrant our collective attention. Speak to Engage takes the approach that fostering community and connection in the classroom supports performance for more demanding, higher-stakes speaking assignments later in the semester.
