True to our heritage, we hope to continue to promote the wide-ranging scope of our discipline with funds that will seed and encourage new initiatives within RSA as well as offering assistance that will enable students to establish themselves within our community through such activities as developing student chapters, providing research support, and sponsoring attendance at our conferences and workshops. In short, your gift not only honors our founders — it helps to ensure that the contributions that they initiated will develop the future leadership of RSA.
RSA Endowments
The RSA board has established four endowed funds to support important RSA initiatives and to honor four scholars who have been particularly important to the society and its missions. What follows are descriptions of the four funds: the Andrea A. Lunsford Diversity Fund, the Janice Lauer Fund for Graduate Student Support, the Edward P. J. Corbett New Initiatives Fund, and the Michael Leff Fund for Graduate Student Support at the RSA Institute.

RSA is a private not-for-profit 501(c)(3) Organization
Michael Leff Fund for Graduate Student Support
The purpose of this endowment shall be to provide monies to support graduate student participation in the RSA Institute — either through scholarship support, an award, a prize, or a grant.
Janice Lauer Fund for Graduate Student Support
The purpose of this endowment shall be to provide monies to support graduate student participation and achievement in the Rhetoric Society of America (RSA).
Andrea A. Lunsford Diversity Fund
The purpose of this endowment shall be to provide monies to support participation at the RSA conference by graduate students of color.
Corbett New Initiatives Fund
The purpose of this endowment shall be to provide monies to support a new initiative or new initiatives that an RSA president might envision.
RSA Initiatives fund
The purpose of this endowment is to support initiatives that advance the society’s strategic priorities.
