    Dissertation Completion Date (Must be completed between January 1 – December 31, 2023)*
    1.) A letter of nomination written by the supervising professor, a member of the dissertation committee, or (with approval from the ASC chair) another person familiar with the dissertation. 2.) An abstract of the dissertation no longer than one double-spaced page. 3.) The complete dissertation as a pdf file absent identifying information regarding dissertation chairs. 4.) A 35-page, double-spaced (12pt font) extract from a chapter of the dissertation, including all materials, e.g., references, charts, or images (the extract should be taken from one complete chapter, not a composite of multiple chapters).

      1. ) A brief (300-500 words) scholarly statement. 2.) Letter of nomination. 3.) CV. 4.) A copy of one chapter or article that best represents the quality and direction of the nominee’s scholarship.

TWO supporting letters from former students and/or colleagues in rhetorical studies who are able to comment on the effectiveness of the nominee as a professional mentor, including the nominee’s contributions to the Society’s IDEA and/or social justice values.
